NSF Controls has recently commenced production of a new solenoid driven internal lock for EV charging stations.

The core of the lock is a magnetic latching solenoid with a spring, the solenoid plunger fits into a specific groove on the charging cable which holds it in the socket.

Once the user has finished charging and wants to disconnect, the solenoid is then released via the charging station user interface.

The lock has been designed to prevent theft, unauthorised removal of the cable, and keeps the cable from falling out of the socket.
